Brokers and Accounts
Brokers in the Forex market have an array of accounts to suit the needs of individuals who are interested in making investments. A mini account will allow the investor to become involved in the Forex market for as little as $250. Standard accounts, on the other hand, require a minimum deposit of between $1,000 and $2,500, which varies according to the broker. In addition, the amount of borrowed money that can be used varies depending on the account.
Those who are new to trading in the Forex market are strongly advised to familiarise themselves with the process of trading by undertaking what is known as paper trades. These trades do not deal with real money and are instead ‘virtual’ transactions, which allow investors to see how the market works, experiment with Forex software tools and educate themselves about the Forex market. Many forex brokers will have a demo account, which will allow investors to make free paper trades for a period of around 30 days. New investors are strongly encouraged to use these demo accounts until they show consistent profit levels.
